CarweB enjoys a close working relationship with the DVLA (which covers vehicles registered in England Wales and Scotland) and the DVA (which covers vehicles in Northern Ireland). We are one of a handful of organisations authorised to receive their Bulk and Anonymised Data sets. The data is supplied under strict license conditions defining the circumstances under which it can be used. New CarweB customers are reviewed to ensure their proposed use of DVLA data conforms with accepted usage. Some more innovative uses or delivery mechanisms, or certain industry segments will need specific agreement from the DVLA and the DVA before service can be agreed.

Importantly the data CarweB holds and the products we supply do NOT contain personal information relating to the keeper of the vehicle.

CarweB supports DVLA initiatives such as “Buyer Beware” and provides a consumer service iCarCheck which private buyers of motor vehicles can use to check the vehicle details of the car or van they are thinking of buying.
