About CarweB: Our Data

CarweB's services all relate to the vehicle and not to the owner or keeper or indeed driver of any vehicle. We do not hold this type of personal data.

Extensive
There are currently over 150 data fields linked to the 40 million vehicles held within our system. The data is obtained from numerous databases, including the DVLA, MVRIS database and the Police National Computer.

Accurate
Data taken from the DVLA is matched and checked with other databases to correct errors and omissions. The data is then linked to manufacturer model codes and reconciled for accuracy, with special focus on the vehicle description and VIN.

Up To Date
Vehicles are entered daily into our system from the manufacturers' new registrations databases. Weekly, monthly and annually these records are updated by the DVLA and other databases to record changes in ownership, new registration number, scrapping etc.

Flexibility
Our system can be linked to third-party software programs easily and cheaply. Within our system are standardised vehicle descriptions for all vehicles manufactured over the last 20 years and these can be linked via our system to leading industry coding systems.

Data items marked with * are released for specific authorised customer requirements meeting DVLA criteria.
